Festival Center

Festivals are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions. They give us a distraction from our day to day, the exhausting routine of life, and give us some inspiration to remember the important things and moments in life. Festivals were started to pass the legends, knowledge and traditions onto the next generation.

Sanskaras Center

According to Vedic tradition, the sanskaras are essentially the “rites of passage” that a person passes through in life – from conception to death. The sanskaras refer to the main religious/spiritual purificatory rites and rituals for sanctifying the body and mind. Each sanskara has a particular ritual and puja associated with it.

Kirtan

With roots in the Vedic anukirtana tradition, a kirtan is a call-and-response style song or chant, set to music, wherein multiple singers recite or describe a legend, or express loving devotion to a deity, or discuss spiritual ideas. Many kirtan performances are structured to engage the audience where they either repeat the chant or reply to the call of the singer.

Chanting

Chanting helps quiet the mind. Chanting and listening to chant have a profound effect on our consciousness. The repetitive sounds of chant vibrate in our brain, again and again, washing our minds, our own inner wavelengths gradually coming into resonance with the tone and feel of the musical prayer.

Prayer/ Meditation

Whether Meditation means reciting a prayer, practising a quiet moment of mindfulness, or listening to a guided meditation, setting aside a few minutes in the morning to connect with ourselves and set positive intentions will encourage a peaceful, grateful mindset for a successful day in line with your spiritual values.

Ganga Aarti & Yagna

Each evening as the sun’s last rays reflect off the boundless waters of Mother Ganga, we gather for Ganga Aarti. This divine light ceremony is filled with song, prayer, ritual and a palpable sense of the divine. Aarti is the beautiful ceremony in which Dias (oil lamps) are offered to God. Aarti can be done to a deity in the temple, it can be done on the banks of the Ganges to Mother Ganga, or it can be done to a saint. It is performed to God, in any manifestation, in any form, and by any name.

Annapurna Bhandaras

We have always been committed to providing for those in need. Whether it’s medical care for the sick, shelter for the homeless or food for the hungry, We are dedicated to the service of humanity. Hence, Bhandara is a regular feature at the ashram. Frequently when people perform sacred pujas or celebrate auspicious ceremonies, they also choose to follow that with a Bhandara to feed the needy. In those cases, large Bhandara are held.

Tree Plantations

To celebrate every holiday and event, we organize massive clean-ups of the local areas, collecting trash throughout the locality.  In addition, we conduct daily clean-ups of Ashram surrounding area, serving as shining examples of environmentally-conscious youth and future. We also organize tree plantations throughout the nearby areas periodically throughout the year.
